This project was accomplished in partnership between several farmers in Sherman County, Northwest Wind, several state and federal agencies, the Audubon Society and BPA. This project demonstrated the ability of the Oregon Solutions process to expedite permitting requirements by addressing possible opposition early on.
Key concerns about raptor mortality were resolved through open communication with the Audubon Society and early ODFW and USFW involvement. Northwest Wind has expressed interest in partnering with Oregon Solutions again on future wind energy projects.
