Local partners are working together on a new facility, located on or near the campus of Oregon Institute of Marine Biology in the south-coast fishing village of Charleston, that will house administrative and research offices for a number of private and public entities involved in coastal and ocean management, as well as a public display area with a modest seawater aquarium, exhibits on local organisms, communities and ecosystems, and a marine mammal gallery that highlights the biology of whales, seals and sea lions.
