Overview: Oregon Sustainable Agriculture Resource Center (OSARC)

Oregon Solutions is facilitating collaborative projects in conjunction with the top environmental priority of Governor Kulongoski. The Governor's Plan for The Willamette River Legacy focuses on cleaning and restoring the Willamette River, from the headwaters east of Eugene to the mouth of the river as it enters the Columbia. The Oregon Sustainable Agriculture Resource Center will have many benefits to Oregonians, including improving the health of the Willamette River.

This project will create an opportunity for Oregon growers to voluntarily make changes in their practices for greater stewardship. By collaborating with public and private partners using the Oregon Solutions process, the Oregon Sustainable Agriculture Resource Center will be a comprehensive and practical tool for growers to help farmers adapt stewardship practices that will benefit water quality, water temperature and fish and wildlife habitat of the Willamette River.
